Due to the Instagram API restrictions, for now it's not possible to publish your video directly from Wave.video to Instagram.

But fret not! Here's how you can post your videos to Instagram.

The first thing you want to do when publishing your video to Instagram is downloading it from Wave.video to your computer. You can find more information on how to do it in this article.

Please note that the direct download option is only available on paid plans (starting from Creator). You can check our pricing options on the pricing page.

If you created an IGTV video, you can upload it directly from your computer to the platform. In order to do that, go to your Instagram profile, switch to the tab "IGTV" and click the button "Get started".

If you want to share your video as a regular post or an Instagram Story, please proceed to step 2.

Step 2. Transfer the video file from your computer to your phone

Once you downloaded your video to your computer, you'll then need to transfer it to your phone so that you are able to post it on Instagram.

There are several ways how you can do it.

1. Upload your video to a file sharing system
You can upload your video from your computer to any file sharing system and then open the file on your phone. Here are just some options that you can go with: Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive.

2. Download the file to your phone
Once you have the link to the file uploaded to a file sharing system, you can then download the same file to your phone. After that, head over to your Instagram app and upload the video to the platform.

​Note for iPhone owners: in case the video doesn't save to your iPhone, you might want to convert to an iPhone-friendly video format. Personally, I recommend the program called Handbrake.
